RHEOLOGICAL TECHNOLOGY ISED® is the first in the line of erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) analyzers from ALCOR Scientific Inc.
ISED® is a 20-position fully automated ESR analyzer that works directly with EDTA tubes and requires only 100 microliters of venous or capillary blood to obtain a result in just 20 seconds.
ISED® maximizes laboratory efficiency through continuous data delivery with on-demand access and a high throughput of 180 samples per hour.
PRIORITY ESR RESULTS Fast, accurate, and reliable results in just 20 seconds!
MINIMUM SAMPLE SIZE Only 100 µl of sample required for testing!
FULLY AUTOMATED Built-in barcode reader, mixer, and printer!
ADVANTAGES OF ISED®
• First result in 3 minutes 20 seconds
• The results of iSED® ESR are not affected by external factors (vibration, temperature, human error, etc.) Built-in barcode scanner, mixer, and printer - takes up minimal space in the laboratory.
• Analysis of primary tubes – no need to transfer! No disposable tubes with expired shelf life!
• Direct measurement of erythrocytes - Accuracy! Results unaffected by hematocrit and mean erythrocyte volume!
• Seditrol® controls - based on human erythrocytes, 18-month shelf life, and no need for refrigeration!
• Compared to other brands, Seditrol® offers a lower "Cost/Test" ratio due to the sample size of 100 µl and the stability of the opened vial for 31 days.
• Small sample volume (100 µl), leading to fewer testing issues due to insufficient sample volume, ideal for testing children and the elderly!
• Free online quality assurance program
• No calibration required and very minimal maintenance
• iSED® allows the laboratory to triple the ESR testing throughput compared to manual or semi-automated methods (180 per hour)
• On-demand access and continuous delivery
• Easy-to-read and use LCD screen
• Technical support and sales support from the ALCOR team!
Methodology: photometric rheology
Sample type: venous or capillary blood, from 100 µl
Tube type: 13 x 75 mm, EDTA with from 500 µl of blood
ALCOR Scientific Inc. uses photometric reading for quantitative assessment of rouleaux formation, which is the earliest and most critical phase of sedimentation. The microfluidic chamber of our analyzers captures the critical kinetics of erythrocytes in a highly controlled testing environment to obtain ESR results in 15-20 seconds. This technology ensures that the obtained results are not dependent on variables such as mixing and temperature, accurately reflecting the overall condition of the patient.
